Performance Experience

Ron is not only a pianist but also a composer, and has performed in many musical settings. He has performed with Mel Torme, Margaret Whiting, Herb Jefferies, Jerry VanDyke, Tim Weisberg, Eric Marienthal, Peter White, Kenny Burrell, Bill Watrous, Teddy Edwards, Pete Christleib, Patrick Moraz, Slim Man, Steve Reid, Ray Brewster's Cadillacs, Paula Kelly Jr., and the Modernairs. Additionally, Rone and his band have shared the stage with David Sanborn, the rock group 'Berlin', Eddie Palmieri, David Benoit, Cirque Du Soleil, Strunz and Farah, and the Fabulous Thunderbirds. Ron also has a CD called 'Exotic Places, and was highly publicized by the Orange County Register as 'a bracing breath of fresh air'. The Los Angeles Times has said the Ron's compositions 'demand attention and get it'. Ron and his band were voted 'Best Jazz Group in Orange County', by the Orange County Weekly Magazine. He was also featured on the 'CBS Evening News' with Dan Rather, and worked on the ABC Television Series 'Call to Glory'. Ron has also performed for President Bill Clinton. Finally, Ron was honored by the Asian Business Association of Orange County as 'A role Model and Inspiration for Asians in the Field of Music.
